This knowledge has been often transmitted through patterns and ornaments and became part of the applied arts.

The jewelry in this collection beautifully depicts the mystery of number eight, which carries the meaning of the four corners of the world and their intermediate directions.

In ancient times, they even extended ritual blessings to all parts of the world. In addition, number eight is expressed in a closed circle, bearing the meaning of Eternity.

Armenian decorative art is unique in that the interweaving of patterns creates a closed chain, which symbolizes the interconnectedness of everything in nature, with the central Sun and life around it.

The jewels portray the symbol of 8 carrying the sense of four sides of the world and their intermediary directions.
In ancient times, blessings were addressed to the sides of the world.
Besides, 8 is portrayed in a closed circle which is the symbol of Eternity.
The intertwined images symbolize the interconnection of everything in nature centered by the Sun and surrounding Life.

In Armenian Highlands, gold and silver have been broadly used since copper-stone age (Eneolithic - 5-6 BC). Many testimonies have been maintained on Armenian rich mines in Greco-Roman historians' records as well (this is also evidenced by archaeological wealthy findings). Afterwards, Gold and Silver Art became widely spread separate and most prestigious branches of Decorative Applied Art.
